About
Me
Hi, I’m Jennie Nguyen, a dedicated IT professional with a passion for solving complex problems, securing systems, and making technology more accessible for everyone. My background spans IT operations, cybersecurity compliance, technical support, and infrastructure, and I thrive at the intersection of hands-on technical work and user-focused solutions.
I graduated from Towson University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, concentrating in Network Security. During my time there, I built a strong foundation in system administration, security frameworks, and programming fundamentals, which I’ve since applied in real-world environments to support both users and large-scale systems.
I have hands-on experience working within frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and FedRAMP-aligned environments, contributing to System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and Incident Response Plans. I’m currently studying for my Security+ exam, and I’ve developed a personal cybersecurity home lab environment to simulate real-world security controls, automate IT processes, and sharpen my skills in Windows, Linux, scripting, and SIEM monitoring.
But beyond the technical details, what truly drives me is helping people. I love making complex systems feel approachable, whether that means writing simple documentation, walking a non-technical user through a stressful issue, or leading a live demo for an internal platform I built. I believe that great IT support isn’t just about fixing things, it’s about building trust, improving experiences, and creating systems that empower people to do their best work.
